Need some advice.....PLEASE!!!!!!
Serious dilema here. I had to recently sell our Tahoe and get a car with better gas mileage. By selling the Tahoe I also took away my track bikes transortation!
Basically. I need a way to get my bike to the track and was wondering if it was a bad idea to pull a trailer with my 2001 2.7T Quattro. I just saw someone at the track pulling a very small trailer with his Lexus IS300 and thought....Hmmmmm I wonder if the Audi can do that. I know with the incredibly complex electronics on this car and having the ESP an all those sensors...I'm thinking the Trailer would cause problems.......
CAN Anyone please provide some input to this!

RE: Need some advice.....PLEASE!!!!!!
The guy from whom I bought my A6 pulled a small (about 6' long) trailer of display goods. The car even has a 1" hitch on the back. (As opposed to the bigger 1.5" that are on full size trucks.) The only issue he told me about was faster brake wear. The car had 37k on it when I bought it.
Now, on the down side, I had to replace the clutch at 89k but that was also about 10k after I chipped the beast. So I don't know if hauling the trailer contributed to the wear or if it was the extra hp.
But a light motorcycle trailer should not be a problem. Having said that, you may want to call a dealer and just ask their opinion.

Yeah....I asked the local Stealership and they could not give me a definitive answer. I have seen Audi's with trailers but not sure if they were the Quattro's with turbos????? I will call another dealer....and see what they have to say.
Thanks for all your help!

You can tow something with your A6. You would just have to watch the towing capacity. The towing capacity on a 2000 + Audi A6 is 2000 lbs. Anything over this amount is not suggested.
