i just bought a 2001 a6 and noticed the night after i brouht it home my passenger side headlight was xenon and drivers side had an h1 halogen bulb in it. Is it possible to put an h1 xenon in drivers side? i don't know why it is like that. Any suggestions?

 

Are you sure your not looking at the brights on one side and the headlight on the other. The two types of bulbs are not interchangeable.

 

no. i turned the lights on and they were two different colors. i also removed the drivers side light and there was a halogen in low beam and the brights. i think someone took the cheap way out when replaced after an accident. do you know where the ballast and ignitors are located? i'm wandering if the original wires are just tucked away somewhere.
