help! i need a good writeup on replacing right side o2 sensors. my bentleys doesn't explain it for me.

 

What engine? The passenger's side right?

Ouch, the up stream one is gonna require a little bit of pain.
You have to remove the heatshield from the cat, remove the two allen bolts on the shield from the top, then you have to get under the car and un-bolt one more bolt, in order to remove the heat shield you have to un-bolt the EGT sensor from the exhaust too.
It might be easier to remove the rear subframe bolts lowering down the trans a bit to gain more access.
Once the heat shield is out of the way you can get a O2 sensor socket on it and twist it out.
The bottom one is just chillin and you can get it out with a 22mm wrench or a channel lock without too much problem

 

well its just the first sensor. i didnt think i had to do all of that to replace sensor 1. maybe i am missing something here.

 

The only reason you have to remove the heatshield is because you cannot get an O2 sensor wrench or socket on the sensor without removing it, but you can always bend the hell out of it but i don't recommend it.
