Im planning on getting new DV's (710N) for my 01 2.7t A6 soon and when I took them off just to check them out and learn how to to do it, I noticed there was oil in them and the hoses connected to them. There wasnt much but there was oil and I questioned it. Is this normal to have some oil in the DV's and hoses? I thought these just dealt with the pressure and airflow. Just curious.

 

Normal to have a little. It's from the turbos. A little is OK. A lot is expensive!

Totally, normal! I just experienced the same thing. Mine was just on the driver's side. Very minimal though!
