Hi

I had some checked my 2001 audi a6 avant quattro , and I got this engine trouble code P0130 O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1. Im assuming this is the oxygen sensor in the front passenger side. But, can anyone direct me to the exact location for this? Also, Can I change it in my garage? Or does it need special tool or configuration?

Also, once this has been replaced, should i have the code reset? Or it will automatically do it?

Thanks

there is a special wrench to remove these. It has an opened end so you can slide it over the wire. Try your local auto parts store or sears.

reset the mil with any scanner

You don't have to pull the head!

I just took that picture to show where they are. LOL

That wouldn't even be funny if you did that. Ok maybe a little.

what is the best way to access the B1S1 from the engine compartment. You said you didn't have to remove the header, but i only see the post cat oxygen sensor from top of car. I have the 03 a6 3.0 and i need to replace the B1S1 oxygen sensor. i was hoping to replace myself, and save a little $.

Hello...2003 A6 3.0 quatro. 160,000 KM. Code B1S1, bought Bosch Sensor, thinking of replacing myself. Can access from top passenger side, but can't seem to locate the plug location. does it plug in on firewall passenger side. (it is the precat/upstream O2). Finally, will it reset the light after driving a bit.? help appreciated.
