I just wonder if only my audi doesn't have the automatic door lock that locks after we turn on the

ignition. I got a 1996 a4 2.8 before, and it had that function. But, now my 1998 a6 2.8seems

it doesn't have the function. thanks guys.

mines a fully loaded 2000 4.2 and it doesn't have that function. there's a way to recode the central locking control module via vagcom to automatically lock the doors when the car starts moving and hits 15mph and unlocks when you turn off the car though, if you really wanted it to still do that. personally i don't like it when doors lock automatically, it annoys me.

not necessarily. i bought the vagcom cable and software a while back because i figured it'd be beneficial in the future, so as long as you have that or know someone that does, you can just do it yourself.

they actually typically cmoe with that function standard but people have them turned off by the dealer or friend with Vag Com. It is so Annoying
