radiator fan problem

Default radiator fan problem

hi all, car is a 2001 audi a6 2.7 T, quattro auto, heres my problem, if i start the car for a journey, from cold, and only go a few yrds even, then stop and turn off the engine, the radiator fan then continues to run for around 10 minutes, is this normal ?

Has your main cooling fan been replaced with an electric fan? Stock it is connected to the crank and will stop once you turn the car off. Otherwise it could be a factor of how the electric fan wiring is.

thanks jhuffman, im going to have a look tomorrow and see which fan it is exactly, i should imagine it works from the battery, il check it out, thanks

yep well its defo the radiator fan, cant understand why it should come on when the engine is not even warm

Does it the circulator for the turbo?
