Hi All,

I'm a new member - just bought an '02 2.7T and I'm getting an intermittent sound from the dash, behind the radio. It is the exact same clicking sound you hear when you have your turn signal on, but it happens intermittently without the signals on and it's a much faster frequency. If I'm hearing the noise and I turn on the hazards or the turn signals, the signal or hazard sound takes over from the fast sound, then when the signals are turned of the rapid sound continues.

What do you think?

Just a guess, but I have read posts about the hazard relays going bad. I am not sure what the symptoms are, but maybe thats your problem. The relay is activating for no reason.

Sounds like the signal/hazard light switch & relay (all part of the hazard light switch on the A6). I've replaced mine for the same problem. You can get one from http://www2.discountgermanparts.com/...h&dp=falsefor $32.95. It's very common and an easy fix...
