Yes, this can be done but you'll need access to a VAG COM (computer software that runs on a PC and connects to your car's computer thru a special cable). Do a search on "VAG COM Locator" and you should find a spreadsheet of people who own VAG COMs and might be willing to help you out. You may also want to check the appropriate regional forum to see if somebody in your area can help you out.
