Remote key kaputt

Remote key kaputt
Last week I found about 3 inches of water in the rear foot well behind driver’s seat (left hand car). The water was coming from the battery compartment because the drains were clogged. The water didn’t get to the electrical box; driver’s carpet was also soaked. After drying the car I’m relieved that all functions are there (including drive power seat) except for remote key. I have all keys (2 masters, service and the plastic key). I tried various synch. procedures listed in this forum to no avail, both remotes don’t work. Central locking system works manually with the key. I also checked both fuses that are listed for central locking system and they’re OK. Is there anything else that I can do to remedy this issue short of going to “stealer”

I think I found a solution or just a coincidance. My remote key works after I trained all windows to go up and down automatically after disconnecting battery. Normally the auto option on windows switch (front and back) is disabled after disconnecting battery and it's reset after you fully open and close window, have to do that on all windows. Not sure if this is just a coincidence, but immediately after I trained all windows to Auto mode I noticed that my remote key works.
