so i have an 02 a6 2.7t with xenons and my right headlight doesnt auto level it self ne more. when it worked fine evrytime i turned my headlights on the would both dip down and then back up to normal position. now only my drivers side does that and my passenger side doesnt move at all and stays pointed down to the ground. this annoys the **** out of me! when ive seached around the forum i see that usually if theres a problem with the system a malfunction light will appear on the dash.. ive gotten nothing, it says evrything is ok.. this also annoys the **** out of me lol. so pretty much im asking is wat could it be and also if its sumthing expensive is there a manual adjuster that i could atleast move it up so it doesnt annoy me ne more thanks.

 

i have and have had the same problem intermittently for some time now. The motors tend to stick or worse case, they fail. Starting the car with the lights on works for me. Turn the lights on, let them self level then, start the engine.

Gain access to the gears in the motor and try to lubricate the problem away. Check the connection via, the wiring harness for proper fittment...etc.
