Ross Tech software question

Can the generic ross tech software and cable (from china) generate DTC's like a regular OBDII scanner?

If your asking can it pull codes like a generic obd II scanner the answer is yes, but only on VAG cars. If you add a pin to the connector, you can also read some 2000's BMW's as well.
