i have an 01 2.7 . when i bought the car in may my check engine light was on for both banks of the motor of the secondary air injection being too low. never knew about the pump needing to turn on because my previous cars and trucks didnt have on. come to find out the fuse for the pump was blown.... did you check that before buying a new one? to get to the fuse you need to take off the plastic panel that covers the battery and inside the black enclosed box, i believe the cars brains, there are a couple large fuses. one of them is for the pump, got a new one and the pump fired right up. Now if i turn the car on in the begining of the day and let it warm up, the check engine light doesnt come on for those codes, but if i dont let it warm up it does..... just a tip to check instead of blowing your money if you dont need it

Well this guy is good from what we have experienced with him. He does all the complicated work on cars for us that we sell. So we'll see what turns out.
