Default SHIFTING ISSUES ON A COLD START 2.7t auto. PLZ HELP!

after i warm the engine say... normal temp. from only a COLD START the tranny will not shift to second gear in the normal rpm ranges. it takes about 3500 rpm then shifts to second. but after its shifted to second the problem is gone until its completly cooled off and the cycle starts.

also the esp sign automatically comes on with some driving. it cant be turned off and i had the computer read codes and it had no codes.

additional info. the secondary air pump is noisy on cold starts as well. sounds like saw blade for a min.
if u can help me please reply below! thanks guys!

My A8 Does that.

When it's cold it shifts in tip tronic on it's own when placed into D
if i knock it down to 4 and slap it back to D it stops.

The magnets in the shift selector are failing or moving around or something.
I haven't opened it up yet. Maybe next week.

I thought that holding first gear was an VW design to help warm the engine up faster. Mine does it, always has, but mine doesn't seem to be a "problem" so maybe the extent of yours is different.

Get a VAG_COM and read your own codes.

Air pumps are noisy. When it stops being noisy, replace it.

but i also have an another audi a6 in the 2.8l and it doesnt do that. and the only reason im worried is that it has turbos and if i forget to heat the engine properly a couple of times it will put a lot of pressure on them.
and i got no codes i tried

it's normal. Depending on the fluid quality it will be better or worse. Mine has done it (everyone's does it to some extent). If the fluid is fresher it can be barely noticeable. If your 2.8 isn't doing it now, it will in the coming years (even though it is doing it now, it's just not as noticeable)
