newer owner of a '00 A6 2.8 with some strange behavior going on:

1. stock audio will not turn on when car is started unless lights are turned on. Once I turn the lights on, the audio works, and I can then turn off the lights, and it still works.
2. lights on the heads up display on the dash will have lines going across the data intermittently. Gets worse the longer the car is running.
3. per previous owner, sunroof will open, but will not close (I've not even gone there yet.)
4. cruise control was working for the first month or so I had it, but crapped out.

Loving the car, but these nagging problems are a little annoying. Any suggestions on the cause/cure for any or all of these? Any chance there is some interrelation between them? All thoughts appreciated, total novice here.

 

not much help im afraid because last owner has probably screwed up some wire while working on the sunroof so its an all out check on all the wiring at the sunroof and grounds on the dash ( the digital parts do go down like heads up ) and probably a resistor but not easy if you haven't done electronics before
