tightening specs on o2 sensor
ok. so i have hand tightened sensor of bank1 sensor1. how tight do i get the rest of with socket wrench?
Help! I can't get it to set in the flange. i hand tighten it, go to tighten it with crow's foot, turn a little, then it pops back out! this is pissen me off. any help would be GREATLY appreciated. is it supposed to sit flush with the flange?

RE: tightening specs on o2 sensor
Your not getting it in hand tight, the tension the wire is putting on the sensor is spinning it out. Twist the sensor about 6 times so the wire wants to twist the sensor into place, then tighten the sensor with a socket as best you can. There is no spec.

bank1 sensor 1 is the precat one. you access that from the top of the engine bay. you have to have a 24' ectension bar though. i'll take some pics and do a writeup on it.
regarding me not being able to get the sensor to set, the new one was defective. the threads were screwed up! took it back and am picking up a new one tomorrow. i couldn't see it because of the antiseize on it.
