I've been happy with my Pirelli P6 All-season on stock 17" rims. They came with the car and have beengreat forwinter driving. Ride is fine around Detroit,where roads arealmost as badas NYC. I did gouge a hole in one tire several years ago when hitting a pot hole. Suggest you buy the full replacement coverage on any tire you get. I know Discount Tire offers it for about $15/tire.

I had Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S on my 99 A4 and they were awesome in all conditions! I've had Pirelli on two cars of mine and loved each tire. I also like BFG's KDW, had those on my Mustang but not rated for snow.
