Default Transmission Question.....

I just had my Transmission Replace by a Trans "expert" well he gave me the car last nite, the car drives, and shift just fine, but when I put the car from R To D or from P T D I get a Nock. It only does it when the car is put on D.

What could be the problem Now?

2000 A6 2.7t

Thanks, in Advance.

I would take it back and have them take care of it. Can't think of anything off the top of my head that would cause this, unless they failed to tighten bolts on the tranny mount or something stupid like that. If it is an internal issue, you're going to want to notify them of the issue immediately...

Probably a mount that was not tightened or the exhaust system was not aligned properly.

Will Take it back today, or tomorrow morning, but I think is maybe a Mount but other than that, the car runs very, very smooth, and shift good...

$1900 - with 17h book time for transmission off/on one could do the math here - no much of a room for actual transmission fixes (whatever they are).

Well, if you see how damaged my Trans was, I think 1900.00 was not a bad deal, my Trans had a 4" hole in it you could actually see pretty much everything from the trans inside.

after looking around every junk yard and Ebay the cheapest trans I got was for 1800.00 with a 6 month warranty, so what my mechanic did was to get a Trans, case, not the actual Transmission, and rebuild mine inside it. with a 1 year warranty, it took him about 4 days to do the job from start to finish.

On another note, I pull the codes on my car and I got a TC not properly set one, so tomorrow when I go, I'll make sure he takes a look at it.... what would be the reason to get a that Code? what is the right way to set, it just asking, because the car runs, and shift like a dream...?
