Default transmission question

I have audi A6 2001 2.8 quattro. The transmission is automatic with tiptronic.
Recently the car would just not shift from 2nd to 3rd or from 3rd to 4th.Other times it would drag a little when it goes from 5th to 4th. That happens probbaly once a week and then it is fine. When it happens i switch to tipronic and i do not have any problem of shifting gears. The car has been checked with VAg-Com and the only error code was faulty brake switch. Nothing else.

Any suggestions?Should i change the fluid or flush the transmission? Is the transmission going bad?

thank you

how many miles? first they say not to change. i have a 99 2.6 2.8 auto. mind did same. i changed fluid and filter. got much better. fluid was bad. you have to replace with audi fluid. it looks like motor oil. you have no dipstick to check it. have to do it with the pan. watch it.

that means the break switch is bad ( not expensive and an easy change ) turn switch to the left then unplug it and fit in the reverse order, switch can be found on the upper part of the break peddle

i just do not see how the switch is causing the improper shift of the gers sometimes. i will change it anyways.and go from there.
