Default valentine 1 install question

I am trying to install me v1 using the overhead light / sunrof method and cannot seem to find a 12v wire to tap into. I've read the post that the a4's use but our a6 overheads are slightly different. I would like to use this method rather than using a fuse tap into my fusebox area. can anyone help ? thanks

Default RE: valentine 1 install question

Search is your best friend here.

Or, you can go to my registry (see my signature for the link), click on the "Stoney's Links" item listed under "Suggested Reading" and go to the section on radar detectors. There are seveal links there that will give you the info you need. Two places to tap into: overhead lighting or Homelink power (if you have a Homelink equipped visor).

Good luck.
