Default wagcom code crash sensor

the car is a 98 2.8
code:
01222 crash sensor side airbag: passenger side (g180) 36-00 open circuit.

is this the sensor under the seat/floor? or is it the one in the b pole?
i also notised that i have one yellow/purple cable connector for air bag under the backseat on the right side.. nothing on the left side.. wierd i think..

thanx!

I beleive the side airbag sensor is the one located under the back seat I saw your pic in your other post and there should be a sensor hooked to that wire.

No its for the side curtain airbags which are located in the sides of the front seats and above the side windows cant get you a pic as my daughter is away at school with her car. I know when I was working on her car I found pics of that sensor either on this forum or over at audiworld. On her car it bolted down to the metal right about where you show that wire in your pic.

well,i did not get any smarter to day.. byt i have seached at google, and i found out that the sensor is in the b pole on a a4 thou. probably the same on the a6. i will remove the seat end the harness to take a closer look later.

the cable in the back seat is probably not in use couse i dont have airbags in the back..
