I've been very happy with the GIAC chip, installed at 74k, along with the Bailey diverter valves and Samco TBB. No problems with the engine, now at 94k. I had no difference in fuel consumption while driving conservatively, but there is a huge difference in power - almost a surge that pushes you back in the seat - when I step on it above 3000 rpm. The downside - I had to replace the clutch and flywheel at 89k. It seems to get better fuel economy by a smidge with the lightweight flywheel.

As suggested above, make sure you change the oil regularly and let it warm up and cool down. I looked into the downpipes and decided against them - just not in the mood to replace a perfectly good exhaust system right now. I suppose at some point a turbo may fail, but I hope it's not for a long time if I treat them right. If I have to replace them, it might be a good excuse to upgrade to K04s.

the first thing you should do is take notes on southturbo and all the other advice. there are a few mantience things you should get to assure you enjoy the car.

1 new APR bi pipe
2 dv's nothing spical here don't spend the big money for unnecessary parts get the 710n dv's there is nothing better for your money
3 get Dp's vastperformance has good ones for 400$ they all do the same thing other companys have them but you will spend 3 times more for the same performance
4 look on the second page of threds in this forum for the sugestions for the 2.7t owner. give it a bump as there is a lot of other info in there for you to use and help direct you
5 DON'T get a superchip chip they do not have large market share in the 2.7 market the money you save will not be worth the lack of local suport. I suggest a GIAC chip mine has served me quite well
