Default Will VW VAG-COM work with my AUDI??

I just installed a RNS-E Audi Navigation Plus Unit in my 2000 Audi A6 2.7T Quattro (RETROFITTED). It works but there are some issues that can only be resolved by coding the VAG-COM software. I contacted a few people on the VAGLIST here in orlando,FL who have the VAG stuff. One of the only who replied has a VW but has no idea if it'll work for my vehicle. Anyone know?

The VAG-Com owner emailed me back and says he has a "Micro-USB" cable. Any issues with this or should it work correct??

Thats strange. The vw factory scan tool works on audi's and vise versa. The cable shouldnt be an issue. Im wondering if something wasnt connected properly at the nav unit and it caused the whole data bus to go down. You may want to try unplugging the nav wiring and trying to scan the modules. If the can data bus wires are connected to power or ground it will take out the whole system.
