Default Wrong transponder??

OK....so I bought an uncut with a 3 button remote for a 2004 A6 (from Midwest Keyless). I only have the valet key (don't ask me why the party I recently bought the car from didn't have either remote!).

I took it to a private automotive key company for cutting and programming. The cutting was fine, got the car started but after several attempts he could not get the transponder/remote programmed to work. He came to the conclusion that I had the wrong bottom half. The code that his key has is 4D0 837 231 M/31408a. He said i need 4D0 837231 P 01C.

Can anyone verify that code for me before I go back to Midwest Keyless to make the change.

Just call the dealer to verify what part # you need.
