The reason they don't like remote starts is because 90% of the time they are installed by a pimple faced high school kid or or a college stoner dropout who taps power wires into module harnesses or changes the resistances in sensor circuits that modules aren't programmed to understand.

I am more inclined to believe this is what happened because I haven't heard of a A7 trans problem. But its speculation because its hard to prove. Your talking measuring and recording signal inputs with and then without the remote start hooked up and comparing data. Stuff that is very time consuming and the tech will never get paid to do.
