Default Heated Steering Wheel

Is there something more I need to do to get the steering wheel to heat-up?
I press the button and it says on, but no heat. The owner manual says
that it has something to do with programming the key. WTF

Strange - it could be that it's not connected properly. My Q7 had that issue. A7 is working perfectly - it's getting cold here

Any luck? I can tell you I had an A7 for the weekend and I thought the steering wheel did not get as warm as it should. It also seemed to be warmer on the left side of the wheel. Odd. I will try a couple other A7 wheels and report back.

i believe the ambient temperature outside may have to be below a certain temp. thats the way it used to work before the button was added

I have been reading about this issue in several forums (I got the cold weather package and expect delivery in May). They all say it depends on the ambient temperature; the colder it is the warmer the wheel. Owners also say the elements are near the 10 and 2 positions and it takes a little time to heat the entire wheel.
