Code P0020 is bank #2 specific...elec problem with driver's side cam adjuster.

 

P.S. plug, wiring, fuse, etc...if solenoid reads within spec, which it seems to.

 

hello guys, im new to this audi cars, just purchase a 2004 a8l and has p0020 I rear all the info here, any pictures or diy on how to replace the cables or parts leading to the actuator that apparently is the part I have to replace according to this thread since p0020 its a electrical short not the camshaft itself, thank you guys

 

Cam sensor failures are not rare on any Audi of this vintage. It's possible something else could be triggering this code but chances are it's the cam sensor itself. You could swap your cam sensors side to side and see if the fault code changes to indicate a failure on the other bank. That'd confirm whether it's the sensor.
