a8 compressor keeps running
hi folks , i have a 3.0d quatro a8 2005 with 170k miles
when i turn off the engine the compressor keeps running until it runs down the battery
when i hear it running i disconect the battery for a while (at least 30 mins) and it usually is ok when i repower
is there a simple solution ?? like a relay etc ???
brought it tomy local audi garage last week, they had it for 2 days and it didnt happen once
they said they found a few water damage connections and cleaned them (400 bucks)
2 days later....same problem
would greatly appreciate any info
many thanks in advance

There are several threads on AW about it, but I don't recall seeing it posted about here.
