ok guys and girls,

I ran a VAG test few days ago.
Now, for reminder, I didnt drive my car since March this year as it was unregistrared, just few short drives down the street after engine was on working temp every few days in a week.

I had to replace old batery in June after it died on me.
So, my car was under stress because he lost all electric power.
I am hoping that all those problems on VAG test are results of that.

Had similar problem as yours,misfires,replaced spark plugs,coil packs,oxygen sensor and nothing,after removing air flow sensor car running no problem .Good luck.

 

Agreed, disconnect the MAF sensor and see if it improves, if it does, you have a faulty MAF sensor.

what about lambda sonds? can they be solved with faulty MAF?

 

Can a bad MAF cause O2 sensor codes? Yup.

I am going out to dig my silver hog out of the snow..and start to remove those sensors.

btw. where can this MAF be?

 

Its the main sensor just after the airbox in the intake. It should have a large sensor connector, you can't miss it. What i would do is start the car, and while its running disconnect the sensor, if it magically starts running smoother you have a bad MAF.

i tried to find MAF sensor, nothing on the tube, but found soemthing inside of filter box

i left cable unhooked and start engine, but besides vibrations, no CAT light when up..
can i assume without vagcom that i found the problem?

 

Oh yeah thats the MAF, i forgot its like a 1.8T engine with it inside the air box, sorry about that. So it ran much better with it disconnected?
