Default Audi A8 Navigation and start up question

Hello Folks I have three questions for you Audi Geniouses (i can spell) out there

1. Anyone has an extra Audi Naviation CD lying around for the North East? (NY State). I live in Ithaca, NY. Could the DVD be burned by any chance? The Dvds are So expensive on Ebay

2. When I start the engine, the RPM shoots up for a few seconds and then settles down quickly. I changed the engine oil (which BTW they charged me 105 dollars for!!!...was that a rip off?) They needed 8 bottles of fully sythetic oil 5W-30

3. There seems to be an oil slick covered around evenly on the left hand side of the vehical's body. It is on the first catalyic converter on the left exhaust pipe. What on earth could that be from? GOD i hope its not transmission fluid. [IMG][/IMG]

Thanx u guys

ahh thankx...well i cant tell if its red...its just enveloped around the converter. its not dripping.

Also my car looks great smells new but the clock says 105K! I just talked to the previous owner and he said he never had changed the timing belt....OMG...whats that gonna be costing me???

Are A8s prone to changing belts as a4s? I havent read anything about a8s needing a timing belt change on the A8 forum. Thanx.

well actually the timing belt is an issue as in the USA it says 38k and UK says 78.5k so who is ripping who off, I obviously do my own and its always about 120k with checking the belt and tensioner but im a mechanic

high RPM on startup is normal, oil on the CAT is the prop shaft seal leaking - very common. I've done a couple myself. About $250 for an indy to do it if you're not a DIY.
