Guys-
I have a 2005 A8L with 65,000 miles-one question....is a cam adjuster considered routine maintenance? I have a dealer wanting to charge me $3,000 for it?

 

that doesn't sound right, what maintenance are they performing? or is it just broken and needs to be replaced? They should give you the diagnostic codes that's the only way to know its malfunctioned. I think the part by itself is around $500.
