I have installed RS/security systems on many different makes and models, I have been considering adding my 2001 A8L to my long list. Just wanted to know if anyone is interested in a DIY before I take the time to make it. I will be installing a DEI product and Xpresskit Immobilizer bypass. This should apply to all D2 A8's. Please let me know what you think.

 

I'd love to see it, if for no other reason, to refer others to it...I remember seeing someone inquiring about remote start here somewhere.
Might be a nice thing to have...the remote start feature, especially.

 

I've had a remote starter sitting brand new in it's box in a drawer for several years now. If I saw a DIY on how to put it in my 2001 A8 I might be inspired to finally do something with it! (as if the fact that I live in Wisconsin and leave for work at 5:30 am isn't incentive enough)

 

Taking your time and soldering all connections, should be about 6 hours in labor, I won't know till I get into it. I will order it today.
