Default looking to buy a 2002-3 Audi A8 L, looking for advice to make a smart buy!

Hey guys this is my first post here so hello!

Well I am looking at buying a 2003 Audi A8L as the title states, and I was just looking for some advice on what to look for since it is a bit of a drive for me to look at it and will most likely purchase it on my first visit if it checks out.

So here is the one I'm looking at getting - http://www.buyritemotors.net/vehicle...?VID=141827621

99,632 miles, 2 owner car, maintenance done regularly, I have the Carfax and I know not everything is listed on them but it shows the following major maintenance done:
- interior trim repaired
- Rear output shaft seal replaced
- One wheel replaced
- Recommended maintenance performed
- Front brake pads replaced
- Rear brake pads replaced
- Recommended maintenance performed
- Four wheel alignment performed
- Two tires mounted and balanced
- Brake light switch replaced
- Brake fluid flushed/changed
- Fuel injection system flushed/serviced
- Water pump replaced
- Oil and filter changed chassis lubricated
- Tires rotated

The last entry was March 2008, the rest of the records from the second owner do not show any work done, just licensing the vehicle. It was purchased by the second owner at 74,560 miles, so the current owner didn't put many on it.

here is a second one I am also going to to test out on thursday, no repair reports at all on this one, but carfax says there was damage to the front left pillar in Feb 08, so we will see

So what do you guys think. It looks well maintained and service kept up on, so I think it will be a good deal. I know inevitably I will have to fix it eventually, but for the first year or so do you think it would reasonably need no major fixes? What do I need to look for and ask when I go to check it out or on the phone with them? I want to make sure I can drive this home and at lease make the winter without repairs.

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks!

Both of the car links are dead and inaccessible on my computer, so don't see a price.

A couple of odd things on the first car: "recommended maintenance performed"...kinda general...need details.
No such thing as "chassis" lubrication" on these cars...no such maintenance on these cars...lubed points are sealed and not "lube-able".
Biggest thing missing (and expensive) is timing belt change...very much due for that...up to $2000 dealer job...less at at an independent. If it was done, most will brag about that being up to date. If "75K mile on" owner did nothing, it probably never got done....BUT water pump replacement is usually a preventive measure taken during timing belt change (it's accessible then)...unless it was changed due to it's own failure(?)...hard to say.

also the parts that say recommended maintenance performed, that is just what the Carfax tells me, not a whole lot of detail. Would contacting an Audi dealer give me more information?

If work was done at authorized Audi dealers, all work performed there should be accessible on Audi's database with the car's VIN.
