Tire sizes for d3
#2
You've probably already done the calculations, but from 255/40/19 on et 45mm stock (optional) D3 19x8.5 rims - to - 275/35/19on et 35mm 19x9.5 will protrude a full 20mm more, which should look "mean" as long as it clears the fender lips...should easily clear on the inside, though.
Also just a hair shorter than "stock" ...26.6" instead of 27".

silverD2 Is spot-on. About 3/4 inch out toward the fender, but hardly any difference inside. That's going to be right at the fender. And, the difference at the speedo will be only 1 mph less (actual 59) when it reads 60.
Since there is still plenty of room to give on the inside, you could always increase the offset a wee bit, if they sit too far out. It wouldn't need much though, if any.
That should make a really nice, wide, aggressive, mean looking stance.

Yes I have done the calculations, also some newer models came with 20 inch wheels and 275 35 20 's. I am sure the 19 inch tires will work ,I have also seen post of spacers of 20mm on the rear and 10mm front, it's the missing 10 mm in the front I am worried about. Fender lip rub or turn in issues. Thought I would retire the old fan wheels to winter rims and give the car a different look after 5 years
