2017 Q7 - Passenger door opens?

I have a 2017 Q7 and found that my kids can open the passenger side door even when car is still in drive! Dealer said it was intentional "for safety". Doesn't seem very safe to me! Has anyone else seen this?

This happens even if you lock the doors and you drive? Seems impossible to me!

yes - my daughter has been able to open the door when the car is still rolling (not yet stopped).

There's Child safety Rear door lock buttons at the bottom of the door lock panel.
Page 42 of the manual.
