Any issues with 2007 Q7 3.2?
My dad has a 2007 Q7 coming off lease and he has the option to buy out the lease. He's thinking he may want to support Ford because they did not take any bailout money, so he's contemplating either getting a Lincoln, keeping the Q7 or maybe another Q7. I have a 2000 A6 2.7T with 150k mi. that I absolutely love, but I don't want to get to the stage of putting money into a car that old. He's got a good deal on the buyout - almost wholesale pricing, so if he does not want to buy it out, I may. Does anyone know if the extended warranty is transferable? How is this car after 50k miles on it or so? Any known problems with it? How's the 3.2 engine? Does it have enough pep for all that weight? I'm bummed that it's an automatic, but my wife is not...
Thanks for the advice in advance!

It's a 3.6L (the 3.2L is a V-8 in the cars) and it's pretty much trouble free. The power for a Q7 is adequate but not neck snapping. I think, not positve, that the extended warranty can be transferred for a fee. The hp is 280 but, the curb weight of a Q7 (empty) is about 5,100 lbs. From what I've seen come in the shop (I'm an Audi tech) 90% of Q7's are 6 cyl, at least in this area.

Thanks for the info. My dad decided to help Ford out (and me too), so I'm buying the Q7. Looking forward to it. The extended warranty never happened, but I know a local porsche/audi shop that I take my A6 to and I'm very happy with.
