Does anyone know where I might find a detailed layout of my engine compartment.Specifically the air intake system up to the filter.Any help would be appreciated.Thnxs-

 

Bentley service manual. You can get them from their website or maybe find one on ebay. I dont have a scanner or I would show you that page.

Tried both of these.Maybe you can just filll me in.I replaced the airfilter today and noticed while doing so that the intake leading to the filter box ,pointing toward the front quarter panel, just stops.Its held in by a single screw and just ends pointing toward the front quarter panel.Shouldn't there be a intake hose connecting it and directing air in from somewhere up front?I know these are newbie questions but have to start somewhere-

Nope, thats it.

Air routes up from the front of the car, between the sheetmetal and the wheel well liner, and into the engine compartment. Sort of built in ducting I guess you would say.
