My doors are creaking as I travel over rougher roads or speed bumps. I believe they are coming from deteriorated plastic/rubber "perches" which are located in the rear door sill just below the latches. The bar (crash bar?) that extends from the doors slide into them. What are they called? Anyone have part numbers? I've been looking at the diagrams on genuinevwaudiparts.com and I can't seem to locate the part.

Anyone else have this issue... ?

 

Anyone can help..? Still can't find the part. It is the rubber part that the impact bars extend from the doors to the car itself.

I put a light film of grease on that part and the noise stopped.

 

Thanks for the reply... I've actually been doing that for a while now. It works temporarily for a few days. The piece is made of two hard plastic parts with rubber in the middle. I believe the rubber has deteriorated to the point that the plastic parts rub on something.
