My FWD 180 automatic is 6 spd!
That's the most likely explanation. Kinda triple lameness though...FWD+180+Auto[:'(]

i looked at the equipment listing in the bentley cd manual and according to that your car should have been 5 speed with single tip exhaust. give me the vin and i can decode it in etka, this will give me the part numbers for the items your car was built with at the factory, smae software the dealer uses. if you have a 6 speed it is probably custom and the exhaust could be too. it is not a hard tranny conversion at all, they are direct bolt ons with no modification. the only change would be at the clutch, where they probably used a stock vr6 clutch with modded flywheel. you would never know the difference driving the car.

my issue is - the official carfax report on my car lists it incorrectly. deal or not, carfax reports the wrong information unless I really do have a 1.8 HO turbo 6 speed.

I really kinda got the impression that the dealer didn't know all that much about my car - which seems to be a common theme with any shop and my car... some day ill find a shop that knows how to work on a TT.

Think i wouldhave a case against carfax?
