Default ABS/TRACTION LIGHT ON APPEAR AT 10MPH +

Good morning everyone!

Well for quite awhile I've had this little issue. Both my ABS and traction control lights stay on after I hit 10mph. - This noted car drives the same with no issues... or so it appears.

Now for the odd. - Today I took it in a parking lot...it hit hard, and im talking hard in a circle while pulling out (It was fun and no one was around) ... lights turned off! ..WHOA!

Anyways I'm more than sure they will kick back in. - I've been told its most likely a speed sensor.

Does anyone know where they are located? - Mind you I have a FWD.

thanks guys!

Get VAG-COM and check the codes next time they come on. The DTC codes will point to which sensor is giving the bad signal... there are wheel sensors on all 4 wheels, and the Longitudinal and Lateral accelerometers under the dash.

It started about a week ago, when I was driving in a straight line, I accelerated hard. - Mind you I always do.

Do you think it could be something other than a wheel sensor? - I do not have a Vag. Could autozone run the code?

Autozone usually won't check the codes unless you have a CEL. The other option is the VAG-tool Locator to find someone near you. But if you are going to do any tuning, I highly recommend that you buy a copy of it.
