The AC compressor will kick off and is followed by a very loud groaning vibration. Kicks on and off frequently and the cooling of course is not adequate. I filled it with a can of Freon, but no help.

Seems to cyscle off/on more frequently when it is hot

Might be your blower motor behind the glove box...

 

OK - Mechanic replaced the AC pressure switch and recharged the system. He told me he saw it act up and could see the compressor line vibrate every time it cycled off, making the very loud vibration noise in the cabin of the car.

Problem still remains though and the mechanic is going to look at it again next week........I feel a money pit coming on, if they are going to shotgun the problem. It would be nice if anyone has been throught this before, to pass along the fix, please.
