ITS not hard at all....just dont over do the coats of spray paint...primer let drive five minutes or so..then first coat of paint...let drive 5 minutes or so..then last coat....i didnt use a clear coat for fear of it burning off...those headlights produce a decent amount of heat.

so, at what temperature does the sealant/glue let go?
Do I want to set the lights on a plastic tray rather than the metal grille in the oven?
The only reason i'm scared to do this is to put my lights in the oven. mmm...

Oh and bondo is VERY easy to work with. just do it, you'll be fine. kinda has the consistency of dough, just mix it with some hardener until it's nice and pink, dab some over the holes with your finger, let it dry for ~20min (depending on how much hardener you used) and sand it smooth. Then paint away!

Put it in the oven at the lowest setting, 140-150 for a few minutes is enough to loosen the sealant, well below the melting point of plastic. I set mine right on the rack.

You could always set the headlight on a damp towel in the oven if you're afraid of the plastic melting.

So I noticed that ttstuff.com has two selections. The clear and the smoked. Which do you think will look better with my headlights being black?

Also, I need to get some orange bulbs? Right? or those nipple cover things? I dunno.

I got pulled over for my blacked out tails and didnt even blink at the headlights. The bulbs that are in there are basically white, so if you require amber, youll need to insert a little amber box about the existing bulb like some have done or see if you can find amber bulbs. I am not sure if those bulbs get too hot for condoms. I have a pair of stock/amber corners Id sell ya cheap and you could try tinting those maybe

It might depend on your state. I seem to remember turn signals being either amber or white.
When I did my smoked side markers, I sanded the amber paint off the bulb. When I do the corner lights, they'll probably end up white as well, I don't really care what the law is.

The 42 draft led's work for the turn signals, but not the parking lights, and the yellow color doesn't match the side markers. I have the OSIR smoked lenses and the stock bulbs with orange silicone "bulb condoms". Perfect match to the sidemarkers and no melting as of yet. If you do find the parking bulb in orange/amber post it up, I'd like some!

You know. I have seen a TT round my parts where he must have taken the parking bulbs out. It looks really good with just the HID's on at night. I might do that and then get the turn signals. Think that would work ok?
