I have 2002 Audi tt 1.8 that was out for a year do to timing belt going out and blew the head. I got it re done and car at beginning would take a few cranks before starting. Unit 1 day it just didn't start and it just cranks. I've change cam sensor, fuel filter, spark plugs, and check timing and still won't start. Can it be fuel pump, is there a way to check it? Or what can it be any suggestions? Thanks for the help

 

If your cluster flickers while it cranks, its most likely the ignition switch relay in the columb. Mine slowly went out on me and that was my big tell when it wouldn't start first or even second try. These are about $40 and don't take any special tools and a couple hours to do the first time.
