Love the motorized hideaway plate idea, so James Bond. Even though here in the O.C. I've never gotten a no-plate ticket, even when getting parking or moving violation tickets. But sometimes I have to go to LA and the meter maids give front license plate tickets all the time. You can legally put it in the front window while parked, but a pain, but my daughter in LA does it everytime she parks her Beemer.

 

@buellwinkle, not sure if O.C. laws are different than Los Angeles. But a friend recently had no front or rear plates. A cop pulled him over and it wasn't a fix it ticket anymore. It's a 400+ fine. They fined him 400+ for front and 400+ for rear.
