thanks vatter, thats good advice i need to keep in mind.

cmh, what are you talking maintenance? what would i have to do and how much work is it? thanks for that bit of info though.

and also, the rotors are the only maintenance it needs right now, it just had the water pump and timing belt done.

Piston type diverter/blow-off valves require periodic lubrication and spring changes. It's not alot of work but I still liked the idea of not having to mess around with my DV after it was installed.

yeah that sounds like it could be a little bit of a hassle. thanks. what do you think about a dahlback (sp) type DV? i know someone that was selling one for about $75.

I know that you can get that K&N drop in usually at a local parts store (Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts) for a few dollars cheaper. There usually in stock at the store so you don't have to worry about shipping. Just a thought...

thanks for that info, i guess it will be feesable if i throw it in a cart from a store im already ordering from online anyway.


anyone have feedback on the dahlback DV? oottoo is willing to sell me one.

Dahlbacks are piston style also.

That sucks. BTW, a piston based dv takes all of 30secs to lube. You dont even have to remove the dv from the car to do it. You also only have to do it maybe once a year

thanks. i might just go with the R1 because idk how much work it takes to change the springs either, or how often.


that is if i can ever find a 225....
