bose volume problem
hi all, i am new to this forum. i have a 01 TT and am having problems with the volume of the bose unit, when i try to rotate it to a higher volume it goes almost mute, an then i rotate it again and goes to full volume, scaring the hell on me . i noticed that it does it especially in cold weather. any help?
i have a similar problem and i have noticed it happens more in the cold. mine increases when i try to turn it down and up. i just turn it down slowly one "click" at a time. also it seems like the electrical probs happen more in cold weather i wonder if its battery related.
The pot (volume ****) is dirty. Usually this well fix it:
1. make sure you have your radio code
2. pull the radio fuse to keep your radio off
3. turn the volume **** back and forth as fast as you can for a minute or two.
3b. if that didn't fix it, spray some electrical contact cleaner in the crack by the ****. It won't damage any electronics (it's make for them).
