brake groaning
i heard a noise one day before work, with my boss, i was backing out at an angle down hill, and i heard a loud groaning noise. really agressive and embarresing. so i figured umm.. wheel bearing.. i changed the bearing and the tie rod while i was down there. drove it a bit, 20 miles in to it turned right and bam... heard it again. although if you tap the brakes its gone. its only once in a while soo my neightbors an engineer says it sounds like brakes. i replaced the anti rattle spring on the caliper. and i didnt hear the noise for like 3 hours till i pulled in to a mobil up a hill at an angle. could it be the piston?, maybe guides? if anyone has any idea please id appriciate it.
Are you hard on your brakes ? You might have glazed the pad ! try sanding the pad with some med. sandpaper. I do it all the time in my truck....really need to upgrade it to a big rotor setup !!!!
Almost sounds like the typical Sway bar squeak that I'm dealing with now. Same thing that I'm dealing with now. It's likely that it is your brakes but the squeaking sway bar is something to consider. The only thing that is making me think that is you said that it happened twice both times while on a hill off camber.
well i just swaped my sway bar for an h and r,front, and two new sway bar links less then 5k on them.alot less, i dont think its the new axle.. im unsure. ill do the sand paper thing. hows 600 grit sound

its been a while since i picked up sandpaper.....you dont want it to smooth just ruff up the surface a little and while you have the rim off take a look at the rotors. what ive noticed is that when theres excessive grooving in the rotor it likes to let out a squeek right before the wheel stops turning. very very anoying.
There is no way that a typical DD glazed the pads. If there isnt any brake quite on the back of the pads or the pads are not installed 100% correctly, they will make noise when going slow and appling small amount of pressure
