Default Camera Mounting

I know this can go on all the forums, but since I drive a TT, I'm sharing it here!

I've been wanting to shoot video of some of the drives I go on and have always wondered how they get that nifty "stable, side of the car" shot. Here is something I've found that hopefully other TT'ers can find fun and/or useful.

Enjoy!

all i would want is the camera & mounts... i have a video system that allows multiple video inputs to record on one device. [&:]

I was in the DVR and CCTV camera business for a while, and found some pretty neat wide-angle, color/infrared, high resolution and weatherproof cameras. What I plan on doing is eventually stealth-install them around the car (especially the front), with a real-time video screen in the cockpit and linked into a 12-hour high-quality DVR (so that I always have the last 12 hours recorded of anything that happens).

I have a stickypod www.stickypod.com

Its cheap, but still overpriced. I bought one after seeing a friends (see link below) Then decided I'd build my accessories rather than [over]pay from the stickypod website. The guy claims 'special' suction cups that he had made, but I did a little looking online, and found exactly what he's using. I machine my own extensions. I could potentially make a 20' extension, I have a 7/8" dia. length of 6061 aluminum.

heres our vid from H2O 05, exterior shots were done with a stickpod. Search 'homebrew productions' on google vid and you can see other vids too.

Hahaha.... you just gotta love the AEROSPACE TIG WELDERS. lol.. from what we talked about on the phone achTTung, you could probably machine a machine to do your job for you too! (Not as well, of course )

oh comeon, lathe work is a piece of cake, anyone can do it.
I'm getting a little more involved with my projects as of late, but its a secret, I'll let everyone see when its completed/near completion.

My rally driving friend Orhan is interested in what I'm doing, pretty cool if I could build something for a bona fida rally car.
