Man, I wish something like that would come to STL ...

Most tuning companies offer show prices whether you're at the show or not. You don't need to get to a show, as long as you have a local shop that tunes with whatever company you want to use.

When I had my 180 chipped, I did something else completely. 2000 ECU's need an actual chip soldered to the board, and the shows usually only do flashes. I paid for my programs at H2O, and then got the actual work done 2 weeks later at a local place.

A Mk2 ownet with a ko4 upgrade claimed to hit around a 5.2 (2.0t). Using that logic my 225 should be in the mid 4's with all it's mods.

If you can do this with your 180...get up here to Seattle so you can drive my 225 and give me some awesome bragging rights!
Well here's my video...granted this is also in really cold weather. It's a 180 FWD however it has an AWP motor and GLI 6-speed so it's geared a little different and has a K03s instead of K03. 6.3s:

Only a chip+intake+dv (really chip is only thing that adds power).

Notice how shifting into third seemed to tack on a lot of time (I shift @ 5500RPM, if I dragged second to 6600 I could have hit 60).

Nice times for your 180! For his chipped setup, he is looking at a best of 6.5 I would say and that's with a good driver.

whats the big deal about AWP and Ko3s?

Thats the engine and turbo my 180FWD was using.

I had the standard tranny and 60mph in 2nd was easy.

Not a big deal really, just pointing out that it's not the setup my car came with. My original ATC motor had a regular K03.

And yeah, 60mph is easy with either, I've just got a habit of shifting at 5500 to stay within the K03 powerband.
