Default clutch pedal

I just installed a south bend clutch with a single mass flywheel and was all excited to get in and drive it. I was told by many that the pedal should go back down to a stock feel. When I bought it it was comfortable to drive. Not sure why people complain about how high the pedal is...it seemed natural to me. Throughout the past year however it has changed dramatically due to the clutch being fried completely as I noticed Saturday night. Well my uncle said based on that the pedal should feel more like it did when i got it. However this is not the case. It is still way to high in the pedal. Do I need to adjust the pushrod to correct this???
